What a fantastic trip to the biggest Garden Show in the world at Hampton Court Palace! 

 

A full coach of garden enthusiasts both from the VDHS and the local area set off at 8.30am from Verwood,  The forecast had been threatening rain all week, and we saw it on the journey up to London.  Even the heavy traffic didn't dampen spirits and it was remarkable how quickly our members shot off when we arrived!

The show didn't disappoint.  The show gardens ranged in size from small plots to feature gardens.  There were lots of stalls selling plants, gardening sundries and even homecrafts, and the fabulous Flower Marquee full of outstanding blooms - all with the historic backdrop of Hampton Court Palace.  

 

Amazingly, the rain held off all day! 

 

When it was time to leave, the members arrived back at the coach with their baskets of plants, sculptures and homeware!  As we left, the heavens opened for the journey back to Dorset!
