• We had a fantastic turn out for the 11 July Summer Show this year with 25 members exhibiting.  Despite the rain the week before damaging most people's roses, there were still a few on the show benches, along with a wide variety in the single/multiple flowers classes.  Congratulations to all those who came away with a trophy!  Check out the gallery here :

• Brackenwood & Hampton Court trips - thank you to all who joined us for these fabulous outings.  It was great for people who signed up to the Hampton Court trip to receive a £10 refund as we managed to fill the coach!

• Christmas Dinner : Save the Date : Saturday 16th November - 3 course dinner at Crane Valley Golf Club.  Sign up sheet will be available shortly.

• Autumn Show - remember to start getting together your photos and handicrafts for the show.  Check the schedule for specific class details.

• U3A outing to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens in Devon departing 8.30am from The Hub - £35.50 pp.  Closing Date for booking is 15 July.

• Congratulations to quiz team "The Famous 5 + one + two" who came first in our July quiz with 33 points!  A great effort from everyone who joined in!

• VDHS helped to support Trinity CE VA First School to plant Oak, Beech, Ash and Maple trees in line with their new school house naming.  Saplings were donated by Brackendale Nurseries, and stakes and ties from Stewarts.  The children loved learning how to plant trees, and we discussed what they needed to grow, and why they are so important.
